Defending champion BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (Alexela KML) strengthened their roster with addition of 21-year old American point guard Isaiah Briscoe (191-93kg-96, college: Kentucky). He already started the season at Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA. Briscoe played at University of Kentucky last two seasons before declaring for the NBA draft and it is his first season in pro basketball. In quite a rare and embarrassing heat of a moment, the head coach of Vytautas decided to leave the court with 2:50 to play against Avis Utilitas Rapla at 65:65. Egidijus Dimsa from Vytautas had just been called an unsportsmanlike foul on attack, Gert Dorbek had evened the game from the free throw line. Raido Roos was asked to step back from the position of the head coach of TLU/Kalev after the team started the season far below expectations.
