Both series went to the third game of the best of three semifinals series. In the first matchup, Al Rayyan escaped with another close victory over ElJaish and will advance to the final on Thursday evening. In the second games of the best of three series.......the first matchup of the night saw Al Sadd defeat Al Gharafa 85-73. Sadd was led by Suliman Abdi who had 22 points. In the first game Eljaish defeated Al Rayyan 66-52 behind another dominating performance by big man Dwayne Jones (211-C-83, college: St.Joseph's). Jones finished the game with 15 points and 28 rebounds. Devan Downey (175-G-87, college: S.Carolina) had 18 points and 7 assists.
