Hello there, it is time for a little break, time to spend time with family and relax, but as a coach time to look back, analyze-learn and starting preparations for the games after the break.
Basketball has been is a struggle lately, the results ( three game losing streak!) are one thing, but even more worrying is our health situation. It looks like we have been hit with all the possible problems U can imagine:
Hamstring, broken nose, broken jaw ( two players)," not even the doctors have a glue"-condition, back injury of the 14 players roster only five guys have played all our games.
All that is something we are cannot focus on (or use it as an excuse). Just hoping that all the guys get back and I know that our medical staff is doing a great job.
The bottom line is that we have not played well at all. Our d has been bad, our offense has been out of sync and whats worst, we have not respected the game like we should have had. Respecting the game = respecting the opponents, respecting the referees etc.. And have to say this league has a lot of good players and good coaching.
Well, we will fix this, we will start with new focus and intensity at 27th, will also have a little minicamp and a lot of practice sessions before our league starts again (5th of January! Why that late? Please, do not ask me..).
Basketball has not been just a struggle, a lot of positives, things that have made me feel good, have taken place also : Four Finnish guys play in the Euroleague, doing well. Joensuun Kataja is making some noise in Eurochallenge (congratulations guys!). The coaching staff on senior NT has already started the preparations for Eurobasket 2013, exciting! Cannot wait for all those great games!
And of course, despite the results lately, I have a great team, it has been a joy to work with these guys.
Now it is time to go to Sauna, turn the computer of and relax.
Hyvaa Joulua ja onnellista uutta vuotta

Bryson McKenzie is a 6'11 (2.11m) Center from the USA (Indiana). Last season Bryson was a big part of the success in Romania for CSM Bucharest. He has great size, character, length, and work ethic that will translate to wins this season and a presence on the back line.
