The Vaqueros de Bayamon, looking to be back in the playoff hunt in the BSN, have added to their roster guard/forward Terrence Williams (198-F/G-87, college: Louisville) and forward McGhee Aaron(203-F/C-79, college: Oklahoma). The last place team in last year's BSN standings, the Maratonistas de Coamo, surprised all the experts, winning last night the BSN prep tournament by defeating the Atenienses de Manati by the score of 73-65. Reggie Bucker led all scorers with 24 points and was selected the MVP of the tournament, while veteran point guard Omar Alvarado (180-PG-83) chipped in with 15. With the wins last night of the Brujos de Guayama and the Mets de Guaynabo, the quarterfinals for the BSN Prep Tournament are all set.. Tonight, the Maratonistas de Coamo will face the Capitanes de Arecibo, in the only game scheduled, because Atleticos de San German grabbed an automatic semifinal bid, in virtue of the Cangrejeros de Santurce not playing in the tournament.
