Former Panama national team head coach David Rosario was tabbed this week as the new head coach for the Indios de Mayaguez, replacing Eddie Casiano, who was let go after seven seasons on the job. Rosario has ample experience in the BSN, winning a total of three titles coaching the Capitanes de Arecibo between 2008 and 2011, with three additional visits to the Finals. The Leones de Ponce won last night their second straight BSN title by holding off the Capitanes de Arecibo by the score of 70-67. Ponce, just as last year, won the finals four games to two, and just as last year, won the fifth game of the series in the Petaca Iguina Arena, home of the Capitanes. With last night's 83-61 semifinals clinching win of the Leones de Ponce over the Cangrejeros de Santurce, the BSN finals are set, and it will be a rematch of the 2014 finals. The Capitanes de Arecibo, who defeated the Vaqueros de Bayamon 4 games to 1,will have home court advantage once again, and will try to revert last year's result, in which the Leones beat them in six games.
