Shamar Coombs (6'1''-G-86, college: Texas A&M-CC) and Toronto 3D made their IBA debut this past weekend, dropping a pair of games to the first place Schenectady Legends in upstate New York. Although not the team results they were looking for Coombs made his mark on the first IBA Can-Am Clash, scoring 35 and 41 points over two games to lead all scorers. A first in Independent Basketball Association (IBA) history will happen on November 21-22 in upstate New York when the Schenectady Legends play host to newcomer Toronto 3D. The weekend will mark the first non-American based team playing a game in the league, which began play in 2011. The 2014 IBA Fall season is getting into the heart of schedule with teams fighting for position in the standings. Five of the six full-time teams will qualify for the IBA playoffs to be held in Kankakee. Week 10 featured the top two teams, Schenectady Legends and St.Louis Trotters, remain undefeated.
