Dwight Coleman Basketball Career |
Born: Dec.24, 1984
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outlook:
A point forward kind of player who is an aggressive defender. Also, he's a lefty that shoots the jump hook well from either side of the block. His guard skills and IQ are savvy enough to initiate Pick n rolls and offense on any level. Great upside yet, because he spends the summer working out everyday with NBA guards

A Day in The Life! - Dec 7, 2012
ARTICLE FOR FORUM24
A day in the life! As I step off of the plane in Oulu Finland, I smelled more than just the cool brisk air that graced my face. I smelled the distinct aroma of hospitality and warmth. The warm smiles that greeted me when I arrived put my spirit at ease and made me eager to help bring positive to the team and the community at large. When I met my team I was drawn to Josh Nofflet, he has been a good tour guide, friend, teammate and roommate. He made my transition smooth upon my arrival. I miss my family a great deal therefore; as a result, my days are start early. I work out before and after practice to keep my mind off of my lovely wife, beautiful kids and outwork my competition in chase of my NBA dream. When I am not working out I spend time in the gym with YNNI boys A team or volunteering at elementary schools with Pekka Laasko. Interacting with the bright eyed warm hearted youth here in Oulu has become what I consider family time. I feel very fortunate to be a positive motivating force in their lives and as a leader on the YNNI basketball team, a big brother as well. I really appreciate the organization that I play for. I am familiar with the YMCA from the states from a little kid for providing more than sports opportunities but opportunities to grow as a person. The young mens aspect is and always will be a vital part of the fabric of every society. To enrich the youth and teach those qualities of leadership and sportsmanship empower a better future society. The young men aspect also fosters diversity in social relationships from my experience back home and here in Finland. The second portion of the YMCA the Christian Association has great meaning to meaning is another reason I take pride in playing for the team name. I grew up in a Christian household and my grandmother Tansey Moore who is now deceased instilled Christian values in my mother at a very early age and my mother did the same for me. The great thing about the YMCA is Christian religious tolerance if you are a member of Baptist, Catholic, Yahology we all play together for the same Christ and try to exemplify biblical principles through social interaction and sportsmanship. I consider it a part of my destiny for my basketball career to go by way of the YMCA to remind me of where I came from in route to where I pray to go. The cuisine that I have been influenced most by and enjoy the most is Rahula, although there is a big mix of many fine restaurants I keep finding myself there the most. The architectural skyline of the city is not quite Dallas Texas but it is romantic and enjoyable when I step out to get a bite to eat. The biggest adjustment for me has been weather as I write this article; it is currently 74 and sunny in Dallas Texas where they are still wearing short pants and short sleeved shirts. Before I go to bed at night I try to read myself to sleep currently I am reading the Bible and a couple of E-books Shape or Shake Your Faith Secrets of the Original Kingdom Come and The Purpose Driven Life. After I read myself to sleep of course my dreams are filled with shooting threes in the face of my opponent to win games, dunking on my sons playing in the living room and walking hand in hand with my beautiful wife into purple sunsets with basketball rain.

NBDL?- Apr.12, 2013 (by Dwight) When I got off the plane I worked out twice with the Texas Legends on a invite from Del Harris former Lakers Coach and GM and a guy I consider a friend. I shot the ball well and as fate would have it Fred House went down with a injury and the Head Coach Eddie Najera gave me the nod. He told me he was going to activate me for the last game. I scrambled and found an NBA Agent and with the help of Delonte West his agent Noah Croom called the Legends owner to broker the deal [read more] | |

Unfortunately, instead of getting the call to remind me of shoot around I got a call informing me that I was not in the NBDL Player Pool thus not eligible to play the last game. These... Are... The...Breaks.... Break it up... Break it up... Break it up... BREAK DOWN!!! UUU UHH!!!
