Zebras Never Change Their Strips Even During Thanksgiving Break - Nov 27, 2012

Zebras never change their strips even during Thanksgiving break. Some players are rookies just beginning their professional careers overseas or maybe even in the states and others are veterans just going through the motions that they have been going through time after time. And during this time we all learn that even if there is bad news, good news, holidays or even late payments we must perform at the same ability as usual. Some athletes don't understand that the front office only cares so much about your personal endeavors off the court. They pay you to do a job and even if some of us feel we deserve more that is obsolete. We must perform at all times, even if we would prefer to be home with our family's celebrating the holidays.

I pick up where I left off in my last blog. There has been a bit of a shift in the standings here in the Superleague. Last game we played Sokhumi who had the leagues leading scorer apart of their team. We knew that he could fill it up but if we forced bad shots the rest of the players would have to pick up the slack which wasn't familiar for them. We played the defense we needed to play and he ended the game shooting 1-11 from the 3point field goal and 1-7 from the 2. I ended the game with 22points in 24 minutes and 4 steals putting me back on top of the steal margin. This important win puts us tied for 2nd place behind MIA Academy. That following day I went to watch my guy Deonta Vaughn take on Armia the top team in our Superleague. MIA Academy came in with a game plan and surprised the Army team with a victory. It was a great game to watch and shift the standings to put MIA in first place and Army down to 4th. Following the game we stayed to scout and break down Kutaisi who we will play against this upcoming week at their place. I think it will be a good game, and we have to be ready to play and give it our all to maintain second position in the league.

So you see that it doesn't matter what is going on, even during the holidays we all have to tune in and stay focus before we celebrate off the court. But best believe me and my fiance took advantage of the Black Friday sales even though we where 100000000 miles aways from home lol. The 10 hour time change in The Republic of Georgia from Kansas City actually benefited us. So we took full advantage of the deals online. Today starts a new week of focus and preparation for another game this weekend on Friday.

Always remember; thereis little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.

Edward Scissorhands Lives In The Republic of Georgia- Apr.8, 2013  (by Nate)

Going into a fresh season all athletes set a few goals for themselves to accomplish by the end of the season. Some people might want to win a championship, others scoring title and for some just to make the playoffs. But for me I wanted to show the world that I'm an all around basketball player. I wanted to lead the league in steals this season. I worked hard this off season on man to man defense as well as trying to get a jump on every pass that's thrown in the air [read more]
Most People Love The Sun, But I Beg For Rain. This Is When I'm At My Very Best- Mar.19, 2013  (by Nate)

A lot of people shine only in the best opportunity that someone has given them, but very few people shine when the opportunity isn't the ideal nor typical situation. A great basketball player can turn any situation into a bright spot but many athletes don't posses this kind of character. If your back is against the wall and you have no where to go, will you knock down that wall and prosper against all odds or will you fall and crumble, complain or give up [read more]
