A Step In The Right Direction - Oct 28, 2012
Hello World,
I am doing great as usual, except the snow is finally here. One morning, I woke up to go to shoot around practice and it was nice weather. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. After our morning shoot around, I then came back to my apartment to take a little nap before are game, and when I woke up, I looked out the window and it was snowing. I said to myself, "Here we go, it is here". Straight away I went to my closet and pulled out the big jacket, gloves, hat, and winter boots. Although it snows pretty bad here as people told me, I am from upstate New York, we get a lot of snow all the time and I am more than prepared. Other than the snow, This week was a successful week for my team, Lappeeranta Namika . We took a great step into the right direction. We only had one game this week, which was Friday night against Namika Lahti, so we had a full week of preparation to get ready for the game. Each day, we all worked hard to fix the things that we needed to get better at as a team and individually. Friday's night game showed of what we improved on and we ended up with another victory, which puts us at 4-2. We defended well and offensively, we did well. I think that if we continue to improve our defense and defend like we did this past Friday, we can compete with any team and give them a good run. Offense will take care of its self, its the defense that will win the games. We definitely took a big step into the right direction and we will continue to feed of this positive energy and get ready to get back to work tomorrow to compete against our upcoming opponents this week.

Hello basketball world. The regular season in the Korisliiga league, has come to a end, and now the top 8 teams are preparing for the playoffs. Last two regular season games, I did not attend because I faced a small minor ankle injury, but now I am back healthy, and ready to take part again in the first round of playoffs tomorrow against Kataja. We have been focusing and practicing hard these past few days, and we are highly excited, and ready for this new season, which we approach it as the "playoffs". The only thing that matters in the books now, is the team that finish on the top and holds that trophy up, when the buzzer sounds on the final game. We look at it as we are 0-0 right now, and we are ready to battle. We will fight, and enjoy it while we are doing it. Individually, I am excited, and ready to play. The playoffs are the best part of a season, because the intensity, and energy is set to another level, which makes the games even more impressive and enjoyable. Hello basketball world. It has been a while since I posted a blog, so I figured today I would post something. This season has been long, and it is coming down to the last stretch of few games before the playoffs begin. Throughout the season thus far, we have faced some injuries along the way. We have had are ups and downs, but as a team, we have been sticking together and playing hard to the best of our abilities. As of now, our roster is starting to mesh back together. Guys are recovering well from nagging injuries. Although we are missing our inside veteran presence, Clifton Jones, we still continue to persue our game plans, as he maintains is rehab and is working on his route towards coming back for the playoffs. Within these next few games, we will continue to work hard, and improve our game as a team,to prepare for the playoffs. while coming off of a great team victory Friday night at Lahti with our roster back into full affect, I think that we are moving foward into a positive direction, and getting positive vibes within the players. We all will enjoy these last few games and play hard as a unit, with our principles as of namika style of play, which is a fast paced game, getting defensive stops, and having fun while doing so. Well that is all I have for now folks. I wish all of the players and coaches the best of luck, as we all make our runs within these last few regular season games.

Hello basketball fans. It has been a few weeks since I have posted a blog, so I figured I would take some time today to catch up. The last few weeks has been a little bit of a struggle for us as a team due to injuries, which caused use to lose a couple of games. I have stepped up as a player since the Christmas break, and tried to give more to the team in every aspect. For those who have seen, I really have stepped up in ever category, and helping the team out a lot. Due to the injuries that I have mentioned, it took a toll on us a little. Now this upcoming week, we will have everyone healthy and we are all ready to go to work. Even though we went through some bumps, we are still positive about things, and are ready to work and compete like we know we can. We have a full week to prepare and mesh back together as a team and get ready for our next game on Saturday night. There is still a lot of basketball to be played, and we as a team are staying positive and together to see great outcomes. I am happy that we will all be back together,12 deep and healthy, so that we can get back to playing our game. That is all I have for now. I hope everyone has a great day..
