Hello Finland and Eurobasket Fans..... My name is Greg Logins and I play for LrNMKY in Finland. I am from a small town in New York called Sodus, which is known to be on the country side of New York. Although it is a small town, i am happy to be one of the residents to play professional internationally and represent for all of the people back home. This is my 2nd season as a professional after attending Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. Last year coming out of college i played in Mexico in the LNBP league with the Zacatecas Barreteros and then after that i went to Tangier, Morocco and finished off the year with RST-Tanger. It was an interesting year playing for two different teams, but i am happy to say that i am finally on a roster in Europe. I was anxious to get over here to play this season. I was sitting home working out and staying ready for the call at any moment.. I was getting interest from several teams, but not yet was there a contract to come forth that i wanted to take at that moment. All I could do is just stay patient, and wait for the right moment which me and my agent discussed weekly.. The saying "patience is a virtue" is something to live for. I stayed patient, worked out hard each day and now the opportunity has came forth and i am on the LrNMKY roster. I signed a contract on September 17 and was on the plane the next morning to arrive to Finland. I was so excited and ready. I already had everything pack, because i had a gut feeling that at any point, it was my turn to head to Europe On my journey to Finland, i was just so excited and ready to help out with the team to what ever they need me to do. My mission was to come in and do whatever it takes to help win.. So Far after being in Finland for a few weeks now, i can say that Lappeeranta is a great little city. Its not to small or to big, i think that it is a perfect fit for me. Although everyone keep telling me about these horrible winters and the dark nights, i am prepared. i am from upstate New York, we get the snow bad. But as for the days getting shorter in terms of the light, i will deal with it... Just more time to bond with my teammates and get better in the gym. Overall, so far everything is great here in Finland. I am so excited to be apart of the LrNMKY family. Tonight (October 3rd) was the opening games of the Korisliga league in Finland and we Got our first win against Salon Vilpas.. #gonamika. Thats all for now folks. Until next time have a great day..

Grinding Out- Mar.24, 2013  (by Greg)

Hello basketball world. It has been a while since I posted a blog, so I figured today I would post something. This season has been long, and it is coming down to the last stretch of few games before the playoffs begin. Throughout the season thus far, we have faced some injuries along the way. We have had are ups and downs, but as a team, we have been sticking together and playing hard to the best of our abilities. As of now, our roster is starting to mesh back together [read more]
Staying Together- Feb.10, 2013  (by Greg)

Hello basketball fans. It has been a few weeks since I have posted a blog, so I figured I would take some time today to catch up. The last few weeks has been a little bit of a struggle for us as a team due to injuries, which caused use to lose a couple of games. I have stepped up as a player since the Christmas break, and tried to give more to the team in every aspect. For those who have seen, I really have stepped up in ever category, and helping the team out a lot [read more]
