What a weekend.... I slept zero hours, and unfortunately it wasn't from celebrating! Instead, I was damaged by the image of watching a 20pt lead in the 4th quarter slowly eaten away, to just 4pts. I watched as ADA Blois Basket's flame became a blaze, and their momentum grew to unstoppable. Easily the worst loss I have ever experienced as a player, and the biggest come back I have ever witnessed! Still Shocked!!! Worse, is the fact that just three weeks ago we where sitting pretty, in 1st place and hopes to win it all! Now we are currently in 4th place with a two game losing streak and no chance to win the regular season championship at this point. It started last weekend vs Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball when Jimmal Ball (178-G-78, agency: ACMT, college: Akron) hit a running floater with just seconds left in the game to take a one point lead. That would be the start to our current demise. Here's the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWRG1mFJu40&feature=youtu.be and this weekend it was the 20pt fourth quarter lead we lost in just 10 minuets! I suppose I prefer the latter of the two. Season's always have there ups and downs, for both players and teams and unfortunately we are down right now. Timing is everything, and with just two weeks left before the playoffs, we need to get our a%$'s back on track and get our momentum and motivation going into the playoffs. I am looking forward to the challenge!

As for Zoi Dimitrakou (188-F-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas), my beautiful balling Greek fiance, who also played here in Charleville this season. Her season has been officially over for a few weeks and she's been in the gym everyday since! She's preparing for this summer's European Championship with the women's Greek National Team! It's actually been a crazy week for Zoi, she finally decided to sign back in France for next year! So, I am happy to be the first to announce she'll be playing Euroleague basketball in Bourges France next season! Cercle Jean Mace Bourges is one of France's top women's teams and big step for her career. The craziness this week came when she found out that the LA Sparks and Washington Mystics where interested in her attending their training camps. She actually decided to pass due to her commitment to her national team, but I think WNBA will be in her near future! I feel like a proud parent!

Thanks for reading, and stay tuned till next time, as the season wraps up here in France.

Tough Days....- Dec.11, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

It's been a while since I last wrote a blog. Pardon me I have been on some other stuff. But I'm back and around my way it's been a tough few weeks. 1-4 in our last five games dealing with more injuries and this French weather is no joke. Talk about highs and lows to start the season 6-0 and life is smooth then to go 1-4 your next 5 and seems like the world is crashing down. For me I know the season is long and you can't get to high or to low [read more]
Off to a good start!!- Oct.29, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Just a quick update on how the season is going. After the first month we a sitting at 5-0 and still have room to improve. We also won our first French cup game. I have been playing very well and I'm having fun playing with my teammates. The next couple of weeks will be tough. I suffered a back injury and a dislocated finger. So rest and treatment is in order [read more]
Win or go home- Oct.21, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Many players and all Americans know this and if you don't you will find out quick . The game brings all of "us" players joy and we love the it. But there are things that can be fixed and we can start with clubs giving up on the import players so quick. We all know the local players almost never get released. The first ones to go are the imports (players from a different country then he is playing in) weather your having a good season or not if your team is losing you will be the escape goat [read more]
