Ive never been in a playoff series before so this will be a new and interesting experience for me and probably most of my team since we are all fairly young. Ive never been in a playoff series before so this will be a new and interesting experience for me and probably most of my team since we are all fairly young. From watching years of basketball I know this is the time of the year where every play matters; one play can make the difference of the game. Everybody contributes from the players on the court to the players on bench showing their support. During playoffs you have to be mentally tough to endure the swings of the game. I also know its not the team with the best regular season record that always comes out on top. Upsets can happen, especially if you have a group of guys that believe they can win. I have been a part of a lot of close games in my career that came down to which team wanted it more. When the playoffs start, it doesn't matter about the seeding anymore; its all about who is the hungriest. The power of belief and focus can go a long way. I remember when I was at Creighton and Sports Analyst Clark Kellogg talked to the team after practice about belief and focus. Everything he was saying made sense. He told us its not always the most talented team that wins. What separates a team from being good and great, from triumph and failure, is focus. If you're in tune with your coach's instructions and properly prepared for the game anything can happen. He also talked about belief, if you believe in yourself and fellow teammates that faith can ultimately be the difference. I'm very excited for the opportunity my team has and am looking forward to my first professional playoffs.

The best thing to do is to stay focused through the adversity and getting through tough times, which build confidence and character in the long run. The season has been up and down from both an individual standpoint and team wise. The best thing to do is to stay focused through the adversity and getting through tough times, which build confidence and character in the long run. I'm a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. Just this time last year I was on bed rest recovering from a ruptured Achilles that ended my first season overseas. I was devastated and the incident left me wondering if I will ever recover from this injury. But with all the doubts I still had faith in myself and believed I could recover. Now I'm on a team that's having their best season in over 20 years and still on the up rise. I believe that this team can do great things. From an individual stand point, I learned that sometimes you have to sacrifice your talent for the greater good of the team. I would rather be on team that is winning with less personal stats than on a team that is losing with better personal stats. Winning is everything and the only thing that counts. Being able to say that your a winner is a better achievement then any stat. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and hopefully taking advantage of some opportunities ahead.

Last weekend was a big opportunity for us as a team. It allowed us to see where we stand against the top two teams in the league. We were able to beat the best team in the league, Benefica, in a thriller. That game was a test of our character. Last weekend was a big opportunity for us as a team. It allowed us to see where we stand against the top two teams in the league. We were able to beat the best team in the league, Benefica, in a thriller. That game was a test of our character. We were down most of the game, but unlike past games we stuck together and put up a fight. Because of that we were victorious. Being a younger team we have both, advantages and disadvantages, but what we lack in experience we makeup by playing extremely hard. This was apparent during the battle against Benefica last Saturday. They are very good team with a lot of experience. We were able to play a full forty minute game against them with nonstop intensity, and that lead us to a win. The next day we played Porto, who is currently second in the league. It was a real challenge playing back to back. The game was similar to the Benefica game as we were down most of the game. We still we played hard and was able to tie the game with five seconds left before Porto was able to hit a shot before the buzz. That loss was hard to deal with because we were so close to making history. We looked at the brighter side, and celebrated how far we had come as team. I dont believe in moral victory but I do believe learning and taking the positive from any situation. Even though we didnt win the final four, I believe that we bonded and grew tighter as a team. Thats something that all of us can benefit us for the rest of the season. We still have chance to play and show off our abilities in the final 8 and the playoffs. Hopefully there well be victorious, but until then my teammates and I will continue practicing and playing hard!
