Hello World

It has been a while since my last blog, but its getting late in the season and every game is important. Everyone must focus.
I feel like if you truly want to be great at something you have to eat, sleep and breathe it. Every day I am thinking, playing, dreaming, watching or talking about basketball. No matter what I am doing basketball is on my mind. When I wake up I go to training, then after go to NBA.com and watch all the highlights and re caps from the games. During the day I am watching film on myself trying to figure ways to correct my mistakes and watching film on my opponents to have a slight advantage. That really helps me a lot. After my 5th game this season I started asking for the film and I could see many things that you cant see while you are playing. Once I started watching film, my assists instantly went up tremendously. I started to see where the help is coming from and how fast and I would have 3 or 4 teammates wide open. I also just study basketball, I study my defenders to see what moves work on them. I know every team very well. I know all the players inside out, what they like to do, there moves, percentages, tendencies everything. I am really addicted to basketball. The night before games and game days are really horrible for me, I am super anxious and I'm ready to play. The night before the game I cant sleep most of the time, just visualizing myself on the court, getting a win when the buzzer sounds. Game days is crazy because as soon as I wake up the game is on my mind, nothing else so I try to do things to take my mind off of it. I wake up late as possible, cook me a huge breakfast, cut my hair, clean up my apartment and watch Fresh Prince or CSI something to get my mind off basketball. Once its near game time, the I Pod is on and I'm listening to Lil Wayne nobody else, he gets me more than ready. Once I step onto the court I don't want to stretch, no national anthem, no announcing the players, I just want it to be jump ball and play. Then the rest takes care of itself. I haven't wrote in a while. The playoffs are coming very soon. Ill update before then. As I said to be truly great at something you have to eat, sleep and breathe, that is what I do and I want to be great.

One Journey Ends/ Another One Begins- Apr.30, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Hello World the time has come, the season is finished. From my first blog, it was all about progression and that is what I feel we have done. This was by far the most rewarding season, I've experienced as a player. So much room to make excuses but still we don't allow ourselves to make one. In the beginning of the season no one thought we would be in the finals but we made it there. It was fun I enjoyed every minute of the competition [read more]
Final Round- Apr.13, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

It's been a long great season and this is the part where every team wants to be at the end. Only two teams has made it this far and it comes down on who wants it more. We are going up against the #1 seed in our league. They are a great team and has been playing very well these past few months. They are very deep and have a lot of players who can put up numbers. This series is going to be based on who plays the better defense [read more]
FINALS!!!!!!!!- Apr.12, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Hello world, long time no hear from. In my last blog the journey was just beginning the playoffs where just starting and the team and myself were eager to play. Thus far the playoffs have been interesting, yet very competitive. Although we swept the first two rounds 3-0 the games were competitive. All teams are fighting hard and feel the pressures of the playoffs. Prievidza is the team we will meet in the finals [read more]
