Hello World
It has been a while since my last blog, but its getting late in the season and every game is important. Everyone must focus. I feel like if you truly want to be great at something you have to eat, sleep and breathe it. Every day I am thinking, playing, dreaming, watching or talking about basketball. No matter what I am doing basketball is on my mind. When I wake up I go to training, then after go to NBA.com and watch all the highlights and re caps from the games. During the day I am watching film on myself trying to figure ways to correct my mistakes and watching film on my opponents to have a slight advantage. That really helps me a lot. After my 5th game this season I started asking for the film and I could see many things that you cant see while you are playing. Once I started watching film, my assists instantly went up tremendously. I started to see where the help is coming from and how fast and I would have 3 or 4 teammates wide open. I also just study basketball, I study my defenders to see what moves work on them. I know every team very well. I know all the players inside out, what they like to do, there moves, percentages, tendencies everything. I am really addicted to basketball. The night before games and game days are really horrible for me, I am super anxious and I'm ready to play. The night before the game I cant sleep most of the time, just visualizing myself on the court, getting a win when the buzzer sounds. Game days is crazy because as soon as I wake up the game is on my mind, nothing else so I try to do things to take my mind off of it. I wake up late as possible, cook me a huge breakfast, cut my hair, clean up my apartment and watch Fresh Prince or CSI something to get my mind off basketball. Once its near game time, the I Pod is on and I'm listening to Lil Wayne nobody else, he gets me more than ready. Once I step onto the court I don't want to stretch, no national anthem, no announcing the players, I just want it to be jump ball and play. Then the rest takes care of itself. I haven't wrote in a while. The playoffs are coming very soon. Ill update before then. As I said to be truly great at something you have to eat, sleep and breathe, that is what I do and I want to be great.

One Journey Ends/ Another One Begins- Apr.30, 2012 (by Eurobasket Center) Hello World the time has come, the season is finished. From my first blog, it was all about progression and that is what I feel we have done. This was by far the most rewarding season, I've experienced as a player. So much room to make excuses but still we don't allow ourselves to make one. In the beginning of the season no one thought we would be in the finals but we made it there. Hello World the time has come, the season is finished. From my first blog, it was all about progression and that is what I feel we have done. This was by far the most rewarding season, I've experienced as a player. So much room to make excuses but still we don't allow ourselves to make one. In the beginning of the season no one thought we would be in the finals but we made it there. It was fun I enjoyed every minute of the competition. There are always highs and lows to a season and as a player you never want to get caught on the emotional roller coaster of wins and loses. For me personally the goal is too be better every time you step on the floor. You learn what you can from each win or loss looking forward to improvement. As a team I am proud to say, every night we stepped on the floor to compete! This was a competitive group of guys, even in practice we didn't want to lose. I believe this is why we were able to achieve mild success. We Finished the season with the 1 overall seed, and a 12 game win streak. We entered the finals 6-0. Only to come up short losing 3-1. For me playing in the finals was a blessing. I enjoyed being on that stage. It was a good experience for me. The atmosphere was crazy in both teams gym. I also think the fans in Slovakia were entertained. It was a good environment to be playing. Last year was an early exit from title contention, this year we made it to the finals but came up short. I am being prayerful that I am able to compete for another championship in my career, I know winning is not promised. Getting to the Finals and coming up short, is a great motivation. I thank my teammates and Komarno staff and management for the opportunity I wish you all the best. I am blessed and thankful for the individual accolades I have received this season and winning a Silver medal is much better then going home with nothing. This was a good year for the Ball Club and individually I feel I have grown as a player and a professional. As this journey is complete: Slovakia 2k12, I salute those guys from Previdza on a great season as well. In a league where you have Euro Challenge team and a Czech team who new the Previdza, Komarno would be the last two teams standing. Congrats to you all.... Finally with this season over, it is time to prepare for next yr. There is work to be done, I don't want to feel the feeling of coming up short. Only Lord knows where I will end up next year if I am blessed enough to have a job doing what I love. All I can do is work. As I stated in earlier blogs players don't stay the same. We get better or we get worse. The summer is the time to get better because before we know it another season will be among us. The motto for the summer 'Be Ready Stay Ready'............... I won't waste your time any longer I'm sure we all have work to do, or areas to improve on. Thanks for the opportunity, thank you to the great fans in Slovakia. It has been a blessing. It has been fun. My last philosophical doctor Louis blog of the week.: Be proud of yesterdays history, because it surely has prepared you for tomorrows future.

Final Round- Apr.13, 2012 (by Eurobasket Center) It's been a long great season and this is the part where every team wants to be at the end. Only two teams has made it this far and it comes down on who wants it more. We are going up against the #1 seed in our league. They are a great team and has been playing very well these past few months. They are very deep and have a lot of players who can put up numbers. It's been a long great season and this is the part where every team wants to be at the end. Only two teams has made it this far and it comes down on who wants it more. We are going up against the #1 seed in our league. They are a great team and has been playing very well these past few months. They are very deep and have a lot of players who can put up numbers. This series is going to be based on who plays the better defense. We have been through two tough series and have been testes on our defense and we have came out successful in both series. It is a blessing to be playing for a championship, not too many players have this opportunity. Two great teams will be playing for a championship and I know both of the teams who made it wasn't picked to get this far. I know our fans in Prievidza has been waiting for this for a long time. The games are going to be in a great atmosphere for both teams fans so I am excited to get this opportunity. Hopefully in my next blog I will be writing on how we won a championship but until then let's see what happens.

Hello world, long time no hear from. In my last blog the journey was just beginning the playoffs where just starting and the team and myself were eager to play. Thus far the playoffs have been interesting, yet very competitive. Although we swept the first two rounds 3-0 the games were competitive. All teams are fighting hard and feel the pressures of the playoffs. Prievidza is the team we will meet in the finals. They are a very good team, the 2 seed, as they beat the Czech league Levice and Euro Challenge Nitra on the road to the finals. I am sure both teams are ready and focused to compete for a Gold medal. This finals series will be played at a high level. Both teams are very talented and deep and should make for an exciting atmosphere for the fans to be apart of. Nothing comes easy and its time work. Game 1 is 6 p.m Saturday evening be there or be square. I'm sure no one predicted these two teams to be playing for Gold at the start of the season (shout out to both coaches), but we're here showing how competitive this league is. It should be fun, so strap in and enjoy the ride... God bless, live life to the fullest and appreciate the moment.. Follow your boy twitter @BigLou_LJ .. Win lose or draw I will be back at the end of the journey. Lord willing with a Gold medal though.. Lets Go!!!!
