Hello world, im back again. Sorry its taken me so long to update my blog, been busy focusing on games trying to help put my team into a better position in the Diekirch league. Coming back from the holidays, we as a team and coaching staff, have come back focused on our goals, one of them being, making the top six in the Diekirch league. Top six means an automatic playoff spot, we also focused on continue to surprise people and going as far as possible in the Luxembourgish cup. Both our goals we have nearly reached, we have now finished join 3rd in the league after starting bottom to last when I first arrived here in Luxembourg. We also have reached the semi finals of the Luxembourgish cup, which will take place next week, in the biggest arena here in Luxembourg and will be live on national television. The month of January has seen us as a team record an impressive 4-0 month, recording no loses against tough competition. I think as a team we have grown tremendously and our coaching staff have also done a tremendous job in getting us prepared every week. Now we have to continue to stay focused, setting our goals even higher, continue to be determined and keep moving forward as the team. My job as a leader is to be always prepared physically and mentally at all times and to lead by example day in and day out. As you get older as a player, you really learn to appreciate gigs and situations you in. I have learned over the years that, the players that remain successful for many years keep them selves in great physical shape and work extremely hard on and off the court. So till next time people, stay safe, God bless and keep moving forward.

The season is finally over, a season of ups and downs, wins and loses. But all in all a good season and a season to remember. My first season in the diekirch league, I came in not knowing what to expect and needed to adjust to the game style and play of the league. Its weird but seems every league ive played in has a different style of play, and a different way the refs call the games, not only do ball players have to adjust to their new teammates, playing style, reffing styles but mainly the way of living in a new country. I first touched down in Luxembourg the Pikes were ranked 9th out of 10 teams in the league, we improved, got better and set our goals high. At the end of the season we finished 3rd in the league, reached the semi finals of the cup, and reached the final four of the championship. All in all I would say it was a really good season. Being a globetrotter has its high and lows, good and bads, but the best definatly is all the great people you meet and the new friends you make. My true friends will always stay my friends forever. Basketball brings people together, but mainly individuals together for a common goal, a championship, Being the last team standing, always a great feeling. I guess thats why we all work so hard, being the champion is the ultimate goal. Its now the end of the season, time for some needed recovery, rest, and a vacation. Then its back to the lab, to get better, to improve, and work on my craft. Sorry Ive taken to long to post my latest blog, been a tough last month, but il keep everyone posted on my next move in the summer. God Bless and Keep Moving Forward.
Hard work beats talent, if talent doesnt work hard.

Wats up world!- Mar.6, 2012 (by Eurobasket Center) Wats up world! Its been a tough 2 months for myself and the team. But we have done good through these tough times. First we played in the Semi Finals of the Luxembourg cup, where we played in front of a packed arena. The cup was a great experience, even though we came up short in the last couple of minutes of the game, it turned out to be a great experience and day and cant wait to go back next season, but this time make it to the finals [read more] | |

First we played in the Semi Finals of the Luxembourg cup, where we played in front of a packed arena. The cup was a great experience, even though we came up short in the last couple of minutes of the game, it turned out to be a great experience and day and cant wait to go back next season, but this time make it to the finals. Next stop was the start of the playoffs between the top 6 teams in the Diekirch league. After a bad start against Sparta, our next weekend was a tough one, playing both Friday then Sunday. But thankfully we got back to our style of basketball, starting on the defensive end, which translated into offense, and we were able to have balanced team effort in turn helping us win both games. This puts us in good position, in the top 6 going forward into the playoffs. You know what they say, defense wins championships, while offense wins games. Hopefully we dont have another double headed weekend again cause that was a tough weekend of games. So now its time for some needed rest and relaxation but at the same time staying focused and determined cause these playoffs doesnt get easier but harder. And our next goal has to be making the top 4, think high, achieve more. Till next time people, God Bless and stay safe.
