Hello and Happy New Years world! First and foremost I want to say thank you to the best world basketball site, www.eurobasket.com. It is truly an honor to be one of the first bloggers to post. Let me start by formally introducing myself. My name is Majic Dorsey and Im from Baltimore City. Sports has always been a passion of mine since young. Thus, I couldnt just play one, I had to conquer two: Football and basketball. Accomplishments include: #1 high school football player for the state of Maryland. (1998-99). I set the Baltimore City High School record for touchdowns and most yards in one game-6 touchdowns & 634 all purpose yards. I attended power house school Dunbar Senior High, then transferred to power house prep school, Mount Zion Christian Academy (where Tracy McGrady was drafted from the NBA). Our team featured NBA All Star Amari Stoudemari and NBA starting point guard Jarret Jack. As time past, I then transferred to Gwynn Lake Prep, where I averaged 35 points per game, received All-Metro and All-State honors. After high school, I studied at Brevard Community College, where I won Florida player of the year and #1 Point guard in the nation. Ive been featured in Sports News, Ball Star Magazine and Slam Magazine top 10 players in the USA in 2005 and was named the top Juco point guard in the nation. I ranked second in the country in scoring with 28.6 points per game. Playing for the WBA was a great experience, I won player of the year and was coached by Atlanta Hawks advance scout, Harold Ellis. This was the beginning to my professional career, which has been a great blessing. I became a member of the AND 1 ESPN TV Reality show, AND 1 Streetball team and the AND 1 Streetball play station 2 video game. My first pro team I had the opportunity to play with was overseas, The Mayas de Yucatan. I lead the league in scoring at 33.33 points per game. Midway of my overseas professional career, I was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers and Orlando Magic NBA D-League as a starting point guard-blessed to play the whole season (50 games). I have worked for eight different NBA teams in my career and its been a life changing experience, one Id love to share with you.

I look forward to using this blogging opportunity to help other players who are interested in pursuing a career in the basketball industry. Topics I plan on covering include, but are not limited to: eating habits, money, attendance and its importance, dealing with the exposure etc. Most importantly, I look forward to helping players that are serious about being drafted and have questions that need answering prior to committing and signing that contract.

I just finished a great season in Latin America LNBP as the leading scorer, assists and free throws. I was titled Sponsor Caliente Player of The Year 2011/2012 from the league-a complete honor! I broke the league record for assists with 23 assists in 2 different games in the same season.

To the players reading this, I would be more than happy to help you with the fundamentals of finding work or giving knowledge about teams and the leagues. I have played internationally and the least I can do is give you the tools and guidance needed to experience living your dream. I will do my best to post blogs weekly, as that is my goal! Please do not hesitate to ask questions about Latin America or pro ball. I look forward to connecting with you!

Lets make Majic!
