First of all I would like to wish everyone happy holidays and hope everyones year has been as much a blessing as mine. Its been a while since my last post and a lot has happened. I thank God for the guidance given to me over this year. Im currently playing for Lille Metropole Basket Clubs (LMBC) in France-ProB. I must say it feels really good not to be the only American on my team since in previous seasons, I was the only American. We have a good team with great players but we got to a slow start this season. Now we are in 10th position, close to the half way point of the season. We know we have the ability to beat any team in Pro B when we play together, and it showed when we beat two #1 teams in back to back weeks (Limoges CSP Elite and Boulazac Basket Dordogne). There are only two returning players from last season so team chemistry has been an issue at times. With the holidays here, we go into the break with a 4 game win streak. Im totally confident in my team and what we can do. Even though our team has been plagued with injuries we stuck together and turned our season around. Momentum is on our side and Im definitely looking forward to the continued building of our success.
Apart from basketball life has been great. Even though Im not going back to the USA for the holidays Im still happy because my wife and daughter are with me. It just gives us more time to focus on God and each other with less distraction. There is nothing like having the family at the games cheering me on, even though when I get fouled my wife be ready to run on the court after the ref, lol. I know she be jumping all over the place even though I dont see or hear her. When Im not spending time on the court I spend my time just relaxing with the family. I dont go to clubs or drink; I enjoy spending time with my family and God. Im not ashamed to say that I seek God on a daily basis, I love worshiping the Lord and going to church. The Lord has blessed me so much and Im here to spread the word of God as much as possible. Its not common to see a professional athlete talk about God or their walk with God. Im proud to tell everyone that Im into God and live my life for God. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven Matthew 5:16. Until the next time, Curtis Marshall signing off, God Bless everyone!!!!

Tough Days....- Dec.11, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

It's been a while since I last wrote a blog. Pardon me I have been on some other stuff. But I'm back and around my way it's been a tough few weeks. 1-4 in our last five games dealing with more injuries and this French weather is no joke. Talk about highs and lows to start the season 6-0 and life is smooth then to go 1-4 your next 5 and seems like the world is crashing down. For me I know the season is long and you can't get to high or to low [read more]
Off to a good start!!- Oct.29, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Just a quick update on how the season is going. After the first month we a sitting at 5-0 and still have room to improve. We also won our first French cup game. I have been playing very well and I'm having fun playing with my teammates. The next couple of weeks will be tough. I suffered a back injury and a dislocated finger. So rest and treatment is in order [read more]
Win or go home- Oct.21, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Many players and all Americans know this and if you don't you will find out quick . The game brings all of "us" players joy and we love the it. But there are things that can be fixed and we can start with clubs giving up on the import players so quick. We all know the local players almost never get released. The first ones to go are the imports (players from a different country then he is playing in) weather your having a good season or not if your team is losing you will be the escape goat [read more]
