Whats up everybody? I am finally feeling motivated to write a new blog. Although the season is nearing its end, the current moment is what it's all about. When the season starts, you go to practice after practice, run sprint after sprint, play game after game just to arrive to the playoffs with the hopes of accomplishing a chip. Back in October when our record was 6-1,if you would have asked me would we be a top 4 team or would we be in the final four (semis), I would have told you 'of course', and you would have agreed. Now add a couple injuries, a few losses and a record that has drastically changed, but still top 6, I am grateful to be in this position. We all knew going into the first round of playoffs against a team like Maccabi Rishon would not be easy, and had we taken a vote critics may say we would be done in the first round. Now fastforward to Game 4 which is exactly 36 hours away from this moment and we hold the key to send the favorite packing. The series is best out of 5, and we managed to take the first 2 games before failing to sweep them Thursday night on thier home court. Now at 2-1, we have a chance to bring the final four to Ashkelon for the first time in the history of them playing in the Premier league. I'll be the 1st to admit it's been a long season and for a stretch a very frustrating season for me individually. However, as a pro you learn from your ups and you learn from your downs. I've definetly learned from my downs and i know its made me a much better player. Every Basketball situation is never gonna be the same and how you handle it makes or breaks you. In this case it made me, and like I've said my whole life, I wouldn't change a thing. Ironically, I'm now in a situation to turn my nightmare into a great thing, we are one win away from fighting for a championship and the feeling is great! Winning never gets old, no matter what happens in the game, once that buzzer goes off and your victorious the feeling is indescribable. It's May and I do miss my family and the perks of being stateside, but for just 2 more weeks they will have to wait and my stomach will have to as well. Playing for what you work so hard for is why we love the game so much. Hope I don't leave anyone reading this with any suspense....but then again if I'm eager to play you gotta be eager to know the outcome...until Sunday night.....keep it cool my peoples.....and Go OKC!!! Playoff Hunt- Mar.23, 2012 (by Eurobasket Center) The season is coming to an end soon and my team and I find ourselves fighting for a playoff spot. The season is coming to an end soon and my team and I find ourselves fighting for a playoff spot. After we started the season 0-6, it was hard for me early on to see us in this position, during this part of the season. We have worked very hard and at the same time, had deal with a lot of injuries as a team! More than just a couple of guys have been injured, from season ending to something as simple and common as a cold. We've also had a lot of players come and go, so we spend a lot of time building a new chemistry as a team almost every month.
Personally I've been having a very good second season with netanya, so not making the playoffs would be a very big deal for me. This weekend is basically the the game of the season for us, if we win we have a chance, if not, no playoffs for the team this year! In the locker room I can tell my teammates are ready to take on this challenge with me and fight for a playoff position!!! But as we all know, only time will tell......

Being The Best You Can Be...- Mar.7, 2012 (by Eurobasket Center) Everyday when I wake up I thank God for allowing me to see another day and to live in his beautiful world, then I think to myself how can I be the best man I can be today? Everyday when I wake up I thank God for allowing me to see another day and to live in his beautiful world, then I think to myself how can I be the best man I can be today? I dont always make the right choices and actually a lot of times I make the wrong ones but thats where you have to ask for forgiveness and for God to show you the right way. I dont see how people can go through there lives each and everyday having an attitude or not being grateful for the blessings of life. Another thing that motivates me to be the best man I can be is the fact that both of my little cousins that I grew up with passed away at the age of 23 and their life was too short in my eyes. However, I know that God has a better place for them in heaven so that motivates me to be better for them and like Ive stated before I dont always make the right decisions but I ask for forgiveness and keep it moving. The last thing that helps me be the best man I can be is I think of people who are less fortunate who cant walk, talk, cant pay for things, homeless people and that also makes me strive to be better because its sad to see things like that. If I had special powers to help all of these people out I would do it with no hesitation, but I feel God allowed things to happen for us to show our love for him and give back to him by helping them out. So if anyone reads this take the time out of your busy day to be the best man or women you can be by helping Gods people who are struggling and are less fortunate. God bless you all and take care.
