What up world? My name is Larry Blair, and I am a professional basketball player playing in the country of Georgia for MIA Tbilisi. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to play in Europe over the last 4 years of my life. It has been both an honor and privilege to earn a living playing the game I love. It has given me an opportunity to glorify God every time I step foot on a court, and I do it all for Him. Growing up like many others, I always dreamed of playing professional basketball and these last 4 years have certainly been a great and humbling experience. After being in Georgia, for the last 3 weeks I am finally getting acclimated to the weather, and the culture. I have not adjusted quite yet with the 9-hour time difference, it gets a little difficult being so far ahead of my family. So, hopefully it gets a little easier as the season goes along. I have only played in 2 games since I have been here, my first game against Kutaisi we played very well as a team and were able to get the win. The game was very intense and exciting and it felt good to be able to go out and compete again. My teammates did a great job of putting themselves in scoring positions; which allowed me to do a good job of distributing the ball to them. Hopefully we can continue to play well as a team and put ourselves in a good situation come May. We have had a great week of practice thus far, and I feel our team is prepared for our game Saturday against Samedicino. Hoping to get our record back to 500. I will follow up with another blog after our game this weekend. A special thanks to Eurobasket for this opportunity, also want to tell my fam back in Charlotte, I miss and love you!
