Whats up everyone. Christmas is right around the corner which means we are about halfway through the season. Right now we are struggling a bit with getting wins, but we are making steps in the right direction. It is tough for our team who has moved up 3 leagues in the past 4 years and we are constantly playing against teams with a full roster of professional players with years of experience. Coming into this season we had zero players with playing experience in Pro A. Lately we have been making steps in the right direction and hopefully we can pull together a few extra wins in the following weeks before break.
Although losing is never fun, especially being as competitive as I am, I am definitely enjoying my time over here. I love the fact that I am playing basketball for a living and honestly could not be more thankful. I definitely am putting in the extra work also trying to always improve while I am here. I feel like I have finally adjusted to the style of play and am starting to find my rythm. Taking a full year off from basketball last year it also took me a little bit to get back into the game flow. I am feeling confident with my game lately and I would loveeee to get a few more wins.
With Christmas time nearby a lot of Christmas markets have opened in the area and they are definitely something to see. We went to the Augsburg Christmas market this past week and it was amazing. It's impossible not to get excited for Christmas when strolling around there. Also a new Justin Bieber christmas song came out so on the radio over here it plays about 50000 times a day. Its all good though because the song is great. We're also going to check out the Friedburg and Neusas Christmas market on Saturday and than the Nordlingen Christmas Market next week. It should be a good time before heading back home for a week during Christmas. Kerri heads home on the 15th so were trying to get some last minute sight-seeing in before she heads out. I am looking forward to getting back to New Hampshire for a week to see my family and friends. It will be a good time for sure.
With all the free time we have over here I definitely have become a movie/TV buff and Kevin James is quickly becoming my all time favorite sitcom actor. I am also soooo thankful we get some college hoops on over here. Watched a bit of the Purdue Miami game last night.
Finally the big news, I got engaged this weekend! Kerri and I have been together for over 3 years now and i asked her to marry me in Landsberg, Germany. Easily one of the most nerve-wracking moments of my life! She said yesss and we're very excited. She has been looking at venues and researching non-stop this whole week. We are setting up appointments to see places when we get home during christmas break also. That's it for now though. Until next time, Merry Christmas!!

Heading back to the states...awaiting the next chapter- Apr.9, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So the season has finally come to an end. Although we had a strong second half of the year we were unable to do all that we wanted to do. I think I had a solid first year individually but always think I could have done better. I am already looking forward to see where we will be next season. I definitely had a blast in my first season overseas. I made a lot of friends, saw a lot of places, improved different aspects of my game and opened myself up to new experiences [read more]

I'm 34 and your point is.....- Apr.5, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So a close friend of mine the other day asked me what do you do want to do when you finish playing basketball? I thought for a second, and I really didnt have a clear answer or anything I could really say back to him. It is sort of funny cause my whole life I have been playing this game that I grew up to love and to be honest it is almost that time where I need to make that decision [read more]
Trying to finish strong- Feb.20, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Whats up everyone. Its been awhile since my last post so I wanted to fill everyone in. Recently we have been playing much better and have a legit shot to stay in Pro A despite the fact that a lot of people had no doubt at all we would move down to pro A due to lack of experienced players. This is understandable considering starting the season we were the only team in the league without 1 player who had pro A experience [read more]
