This league is deadlocked across the top 5 teams. This is looking to be the set up of a very interesting and intense race to the end of the regular season. Key loses for the top teams in the league have created this 5 way tie. We played our game against Szedeak Szeged on Thursday, which we won by 24. This was a roller coaster game all the way until the fourth quarter. We didn't play our best basketball and at times myself and a couple of my teammates struggled with our focus. We had lapses during the game that created struggles for us. Happily enough we were able to hold off Szedeak Szeged's attack. Laszlo Kalman (186-G-72, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) had a great game recording a triple double for us. 30 points, 10 assists and 10 received fouls. He was in the zone! I received a lot of the passes from Laszlo and was able to score 34 points and help Djordje Pantelic (204-F-84) with some rebounding by grabbing 8 boards. My rebounding didn't bother Djorje too much because he still finished with a double double. 15 points, 11 rebounds. Zsolt Szabo (202-F-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) was the fourth player on our team to get into double figures. Winning this game our coach gave us a few days off. So that aloud me some of our teammates and I to head over to Soproni KC and watch a major upset as they beat Szolnoki. The game was close form the beginning and while watching the game my teammates and I thought sooner or later Szolnokihas to pull away. Never happened. Soproni KC pulled away and took a big lead to the shock and joy of the home crowd. Soproni KC withstood a last effort by Szolnokiand put the game away with some big buckets. This now makes it very interesting for us here in Falco. We play Soproni KC on the same court that they just beat Szolnoki Olajbanyasz on and then the next week we play Szolnoki on our floor. Very interesting. We are preparing now for these tough games and working hard to play our best basketball.

It's Sunday and that means two things.... time for Church and time to watch some football. Like I've mentioned before you can watch the church that I belong to in Miami at www.metrolifechurch.cc I invite all the readers to join the service. Great service was preached today on generosity.

On the football end I am hoping my Jets can get their fourth straight victory as we hand these Patriots their third straight lose. It just sucks for me because the Jets have the Sunday night game. So I hope I Wake up to good news. I'm going to flip between watching Cam Newton, Tim Tebow and Michael Vick. I'll also monitor the cowboys score hoping they lose. I've met some Steeler fans out here in Szombathely. I swear they have fans everywhere. I think it's the Black and Yellow thing in this case.

I have to send a special thank you to Sara for helping my mother get from the airport in Budapest where she will set her up to ride the train here. Amazing you could help with this.

God Bless, Your favorite blogger

Finals!!!!- May.14, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

This season has been a great one. At the beginning of the season the goal for this team was to finish in the top 8. As most already know we finished in first place. We set a Falco record with wins in a season and consecutive wins. It's great to be part of a team with this kind of success. We won our third game against Kormend last night in a very difficult, very tiring game [read more]
It all ends in Debrecen- Apr.24, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Who would have ever thought we would make it to the EuroChallenge Final Four?! Me being a player for Szolnok, I definetly did not think we would make it this far. I know its kinda sad that I would think that right? Now that we have made it this far I know we are capable of writing history and becoming the EuroChallenge champions!! My goal for this years EuroChallenge was to make it past the first round [read more]

Washingtonians Hooping in Hungary- Jan.4, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

The basketball world is a small one. Every new teammate seems to know someone you do. Whether its a college teammate or someone you played with in high school you can usually come across a common person that has crossed your paths. This can be a great advantage for every hooper in landing your next job or gaining information on a country or team. The vast network that connects us all is a powerful tool that should be harnessed by every player. Its all about networking [read more]
