Whats up people,
It's been awhile since I last posted so its about time I got on here and posted some updates. This is my first year playing overseas and it definitely took me a little while to adjust to the different style of play. Back in college it was a lot more one on one, try to make something happen basketball. A lot of guys who could take over a game and would take over a game and make plays for themselves and their teammates. On my team here it definitely took a little while for me to adjust to the new style but I feel like I am finally comfortable with the European style of play and am starting to get into a good rythm. Unfortunately we are win-less as of now and have been struggling since we are a new team in the Pro A. We also had a new american come in recently to help us out with opposing teams big-men and rebounding, however he was injured in practice. I think we are making good steps and I hope we can string some wins together soon. A few of us have been puttin in extra work lately with extra lifting, extra shooting and ball handling and are definitely doing our part to try to help us get some wins.

As for adjusting to the new culture it has definitely been a blessing to be over here and see a part of the world playing a sport I love. There have definitely been times where I will miss my family and friends a lot, but I love it here and love the fact that I am over here doing something I love. I am especially thankful I get to be over here with my girlfriend and we get to experience everything together. It also is great having her around with all the downtime outside of basketball. Sure I do get real down when we lose but it's important for us to keep fighting and working hard to get some wins. I feel like I finally found my rythm and am feeling good about my game right now and am going to do all I can to help get some W's!

Heading back to the states...awaiting the next chapter- Apr.9, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So the season has finally come to an end. Although we had a strong second half of the year we were unable to do all that we wanted to do. I think I had a solid first year individually but always think I could have done better. I am already looking forward to see where we will be next season. I definitely had a blast in my first season overseas. I made a lot of friends, saw a lot of places, improved different aspects of my game and opened myself up to new experiences [read more]

I'm 34 and your point is.....- Apr.5, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So a close friend of mine the other day asked me what do you do want to do when you finish playing basketball? I thought for a second, and I really didnt have a clear answer or anything I could really say back to him. It is sort of funny cause my whole life I have been playing this game that I grew up to love and to be honest it is almost that time where I need to make that decision [read more]
Trying to finish strong- Feb.20, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Whats up everyone. Its been awhile since my last post so I wanted to fill everyone in. Recently we have been playing much better and have a legit shot to stay in Pro A despite the fact that a lot of people had no doubt at all we would move down to pro A due to lack of experienced players. This is understandable considering starting the season we were the only team in the league without 1 player who had pro A experience [read more]
