Eurobasket whats upppp!
Week 2 of me blogging and a week closer to the day I head to Germany. Everyday I get more excited for the day to come where I fly out. People in my town seem real excited which gets me even more excited. For a lot of American players who play overseas, they may have a handful of players from there area who head overseas to play basketball but not where I am from. I am from a small town in a small state. That being said I will Repppp New Hampshire to the fullest! I am one of only a handful of players to even play division 1 basketball from my state (New Hampshire). I cant lie, I love it when people come up to me and want to talk about it. I have had some people from my town tell me that the area of Augsburg is a beautiful area and that I will love it there. I cant wait to get there with Kerri and meet my new team and the community!

As for training this past week was another tough one. I had another week of work (5am-2pm monday-friday) and by the time I get out I always want to just sit on the couch and eat. I always manage to force myself to workout and once I get started I am good. I also had a wedding in NY which me and Kerri went too (she was part of the wedding party) I have had some good runs with great players from the area including Luke Bonner (213-C-85, college: Massachusetts), Steve DeLuca (198-F, college: Brandeis), Chris Burns and college guys from the area. I also won an epic game of horse between Mr Christopher Burns and Stephen (old man shots) Deluca, so just wanted to make a point to tell everyone that. For those of you that dont know these two, Chris Burns played college ball at Providence College for one year than transferred to Bryant College, where he played in the division II National Championship game where he dropped like 7 3's and had something like 25 points. He had a great career there and led Bryant to a ton of success and now they are a division 1 program. Steve DeLuca is in my opinion one of the best players who didnt play division 1 basketball. I have no idea how he didnt play d1 hoops as he would have been the go to guy at a lot of mid majors. Deluca currently plays for the Saint John Millrats in Canada and is most likely going to be playing in the newly formed Canadian Basketball League. Luke Bonner played in Lithuania this past year for Neptunas and has been a great friend for years. His older brother Matt Bonner (206-F-80, college: Florida) is currently on the San Antonio Spurs and led the NBA in 3 point percentage this season.

This past week I once again killed myself with workouts and am looking forward to not having to work on top of my workouts starting next week. I also want to thank Chris Burns for returning my girlfriends shoe which I accidentally grabbed when grabbing my basketball shoes to go workout. A special shout out to Art Hassan (my dad) for fathers day, his birthday and for rebounding for me everyday, which I can guarantee you not too many dads out there do. We just got back from a 3 hour shooting session and I know no dad would work a 11 hour workday then come put his son through a workout. Thanks pops! Until next time see you later Eurobasket!

Heading back to the states...awaiting the next chapter- Apr.9, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So the season has finally come to an end. Although we had a strong second half of the year we were unable to do all that we wanted to do. I think I had a solid first year individually but always think I could have done better. I am already looking forward to see where we will be next season. I definitely had a blast in my first season overseas. I made a lot of friends, saw a lot of places, improved different aspects of my game and opened myself up to new experiences [read more]

I'm 34 and your point is.....- Apr.5, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So a close friend of mine the other day asked me what do you do want to do when you finish playing basketball? I thought for a second, and I really didnt have a clear answer or anything I could really say back to him. It is sort of funny cause my whole life I have been playing this game that I grew up to love and to be honest it is almost that time where I need to make that decision [read more]
Trying to finish strong- Feb.20, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Whats up everyone. Its been awhile since my last post so I wanted to fill everyone in. Recently we have been playing much better and have a legit shot to stay in Pro A despite the fact that a lot of people had no doubt at all we would move down to pro A due to lack of experienced players. This is understandable considering starting the season we were the only team in the league without 1 player who had pro A experience [read more]
