The All-Star game was such a good time. Interacting with players in a friendly way that you have spent all season in intense competition with is always interesting. It took me a second to separate the competitive mindset hahaha. Talking and getting to know the guys was good. I spoke the most with my All-Star teammate from Ramat Gan Isaac Rosefelt (205-C/F-85, agency: Avi Zilberman, college: St.Thomas). He had a lot of interesting stories from this past season.

It felt like as soon as we got to the gym and changed into our uniforms we began the introductions. Once they announced each player they began the three point shoot competition. Joshua Gomes (190-G-83, college: E.Illinois) said it was the day of shekels because it's money time. With the friendly competition and trash talking heading into the competition it looked like it definitely was money time. In the finals it was Noam Matalon (197-G-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) vs Stacey Moragne (195-F-83, college: Mass.-Lowell). Stacey Moragne walked away with the title in dramatic fashion, having a tie score on the last money ball and needing it to win he drained it. It was a good show. I would have loved to see a few of my teammates in the competition, I think we have some great shooters on out team.

The dunk contest I must admit I felt a little nervous about. The pressure to entertain the fans and put on a good show was a lot of fun. I had spoke to my teammates the day before and they thought I was going to win hands down. That put even more pressure on me to perform. I shuffled through about 6 dunks and decided on a solid four. They next tough part was figuring out which order to do them in. Up until the start of the competition I had not figured out which to do first. Good for me Ramon Clemente (200-F-85, agency: Global Sports Plaza, college: Wichita St.) went first. He started with jumping over a point guard off one leg. A nice dunk and scoring him a 41 out of a possible 50.I was next and as I'm walking to the rim I decide to start with a 360 pump between the legs. The judges gave me a 45 out of 50 and I was now in the lead. My next dunk came because of the strategy that Ramon jumped over a smaller player that if I jumped over a player taller than me then that should wow the judges enough to put me in the finals. I jumped over Guy Cohen (195-F-83). I jumped of two feet and threw it down hard. My strategy worked because I received a perfect 50 for that dunk. I was hoping to be matched up against against an old teammates in the final Haiim Barbi (197-F-89). That would have made it a little more personal to be against a friend. Now I'm in the finals matched up against a young energetic player Ben Sharoni. I'm up first this time and surprise even my teammates with a dunk they never saw me attempt before. I through myself a pass off the back of the backboard and caught it with two hands, brought it around and under the rim and finished with two hands. The crowd reaction was amazing for this dunk. The judges appreciated it as well giving me my second 50! After Ben completing a difficult two ball dunk I wanted to put this contest to rest. I called my boy Oded Brandwein (188-G-88) out the stands and he hooked me up with a great pass off the side of the backboard which was a little high, causing me to change my dunk from a one hand windmill to a two hand windmill while in the air. I worked out perfect though because it added a little more flare to the dunk and everyone loved it. I sealed the deal by receiving another 50 and the Dunk Crown was mine. All that was left was for me to get my trophy from Stanley Brandy (200-F-67, college: De Paul). I felt very happy that I performed and put on a show that the crowd seemed to really enjoy. Everyone I spoke to yesterday and today said they really liked it and that it was amazing. I ned to thank the fans for giving me some ideas to play around with. I mixed and matched a few. So I send a big thank you to my blog readers.

Last event for the night was the All-Star game. It was fun and just like an All-Star game is suppose to be, a showcase of top players and getting to have fun while you're out there. The North won and Ramon won the MVP. I finished with 13 points and 10 assists. I should have worked on the rebounds and I could have had a triple double. For the first ever All-Star game I have to say it was a success. I think the organizers put it together really well. Smooth and entertaining the whole way through. Good Job.

Well the last game of the regular season is hear. We lost our last game and there's not much to say about it beside we played horrible. We did not play the way we needed to play to win from the start. I managed to score 29 points and pull down 10 rebounds and Kyle Wilson (206-F-83, college: Wichita St.) scored 28 along with 8 rebounds but we both needed to do more to get the win. The only good thing is that we hold the tie breaker if somehow we finished with the same records. Now we have Maccabi Beer Yaakov, a tough team that has a lot of talent. After this game it's playoff time baby!! I swear this is the most exciting part about basketball.

Hopefully next time I blog I will have good news. Once again thank you for comments, I appreciate them.

Can we bring history to Ashkelon? Final Four? #playoffs- May.13, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Whats up everybody? I am finally feeling motivated to write a new blog. Although the season is nearing its end, the current moment is what it's all about. When the season starts, you go to practice after practice, run sprint after sprint, play game after game just to arrive to the playoffs with the hopes of accomplishing a chip [read more]
Playoff Hunt- Mar.23, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

The season is coming to an end soon and my team and I find ourselves fighting for a playoff spot. After we started the season 0-6, it was hard for me early on to see us in this position, during this part of the season. We have worked very hard and at the same time, had deal with a lot of injuries as a team! More than just a couple of guys have been injured, from season ending to something as simple and common as a cold [read more]
Being The Best You Can Be...- Mar.7, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Everyday when I wake up I thank God for allowing me to see another day and to live in his beautiful world, then I think to myself how can I be the best man I can be today? I dont always make the right choices and actually a lot of times I make the wrong ones but thats where you have to ask for forgiveness and for God to show you the right way. I dont see how people can go through there lives each and everyday having an attitude or not being grateful for the blessings of life [read more]
