Well I want to start by saying it feels so much better to write these blogs after a win. We finally got a new big man. Kyle Wilson (206-F-83, college: Wichita St.), my teammate from last season in Hungary. Last season we were on a championship team together and I'm hoping we can bring some of those same winning ways here to Yavne. Another bit of news, my father has been out here for 5 days and we have been having a good time. Just like when my mother was out here we went to Jerusalem and visited the Old City. We had a good time there. I will say my father is a straight up Tourist! He's the guy who is talking to everyone and taking pictures of everything. He's stopping at all the shops, smelling spices, checking fruits and interested in every trinket. I had to keep saying, 'Pops come on, you don't want that.' hahaa I swear if he wasn't from New York he would ne the guy walking the streets with the I love NY t-shirt, statue of liberty hat and a Yankees pin on his shirt. Hilarious! My father will be leaving Saturday morning. We got to do a lot in that time. We went to the Dead Sea and had a great time. It was so relaxing over there. I was at Ein Gedi and enjoyed all of it. I meet some good people. Zabu and Eric, both took care of us and made sure we got to see everything the dead sea had to offer. The next day we went to watch Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv vs Regal FC Barcelona. That was a great game. A great first for me and my father. The fans were crazy and it's to bad they didn't win. I would have loved to see the fans celebrate after winning that game. The funny thing is that when we were walking into the game game fans are looking at me and my father and telling us good luck. Me and my father look at eachother and are just thinking what was that for? When we go to walk in the guy working the gate says Regal FC Barcelona go this way. I said no Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv??? We walk in and The guy working McDonalds tells me they don't sell nuggets. I'm looking at them and pointing at the nuggets and he's giving me attitude and telling me no. A lady slaps his arm and says, 'yes we have nuggets.' Then a parade of fans goes by and they are waving flags and stop right in front of me and my father and do all these rally chants and songs. That's when we realize that we are both wearing Regal FC Barcelona colors hahaha. So now that we understand where this negative attention is coming from we can't stop laughing. What are the odds? I have one shirt that's that maroon Regal FC Barcelona color and I pick that one haha. My father has one maroon track jacket and he wears that one, we couldn't have planned it to look more like we were there for Spain. Anyways we had a great time at the game. I got the tickets from a really good friend of mine who has looked out for me since day one. A great guy. Thanks.

I haven't even begun to talk about our first game with Kyle. The game started off with 6 straight points from Kyle aka Mr. Wilson aka Smooth. our team played really well and defensively we looked really good. As a team we had 15 steals. We won by 23 and it was good to win big and not have a dog fight to go through like we've been use to. Kyle finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Great debut in Israel. Elad Hofman (192-G/F-85) had 18 points and 4 steals. I lead the way with 21 points and 6 steals. Now it's good to get a win but we are focusing our attention to Nahariya.

Well I'm about to take my father to the airport. All in all it was great having him here. We did a lot and had a lot of fun. Just a side note my father is 0-1 vs the Dead Sea. That story is hilarious but I have to go now.

God Bless you all.

Can we bring history to Ashkelon? Final Four? #playoffs- May.13, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Whats up everybody? I am finally feeling motivated to write a new blog. Although the season is nearing its end, the current moment is what it's all about. When the season starts, you go to practice after practice, run sprint after sprint, play game after game just to arrive to the playoffs with the hopes of accomplishing a chip [read more]
Playoff Hunt- Mar.23, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

The season is coming to an end soon and my team and I find ourselves fighting for a playoff spot. After we started the season 0-6, it was hard for me early on to see us in this position, during this part of the season. We have worked very hard and at the same time, had deal with a lot of injuries as a team! More than just a couple of guys have been injured, from season ending to something as simple and common as a cold [read more]
Being The Best You Can Be...- Mar.7, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Everyday when I wake up I thank God for allowing me to see another day and to live in his beautiful world, then I think to myself how can I be the best man I can be today? I dont always make the right choices and actually a lot of times I make the wrong ones but thats where you have to ask for forgiveness and for God to show you the right way. I dont see how people can go through there lives each and everyday having an attitude or not being grateful for the blessings of life [read more]
