Searching for a big man and NBA trade rumors - Feb 13, 2011

We played our first game without our big man DeVon Hardin (211-C-86). Devon and the team mutually parted ways Feb. 5th. We didn't get time to get a new player before the game so we played down a man. We played Elitzur Ramla and knowing the new additions they've added we knew it would be tough. We didn't get to see Paris vs. Hardin. Now all of us had to step up and try to replace Devons numbers. He was averaging 15 and 9 so that's a tough hole to fill. We started the game out on a roll and led by 8 early. After the first quarter we had a small lead. That's when things went down hill from there. by halftime we went from being up 8 to down 12. It was frustrating because we all seemed to not know what we needed to do to stop their run. For the rest of the game we were in a battle. Something our team should be use to by now because we always find ourselves in this situation. This time we cut the lead to 4 with a minute to go. We felt we were right back in the game. After playing great defense and forcing a steal Oded got the ball and we were ready to start our fast break but after a Elitzur Ramla player dove on the ground and took Oded's legs out recovers the ball and try to hold it. Our coach went off on the ref because how can he not call that foul and for it being such an important part of the game made the effects devastating for our team. So our coach gets two very quick techs and tossed form the game. Elitzur Ramla got to shoot 6 free throws and get the ball back. Making 5 and putting them up 9. We would lose the game by 7 and all of us left with a nasty taste in our mouths. Elitzur Ramla had 4 players in double figures. We had 3 players. I tried to make up form my big fella being out. I had 30 points and 11 rebounds. But that wasn't enough. Luckily for us we are still in 3rd place. We need to find a big but the problem is finding the right one for this league. We need a big to play defense and be a rebounding machine! We have a few options out there but we are waiting for the perfect fit.

Today is Devons first game in Turkey and I'm dying to see how he does out there. I wish him the best. From what I heard from him already his new team is like boot camp, where his whole day is planned out and he only has about 2 hours free time before he has to be up on the move. That would be torture for me because some days i just want to chill. haha Hopefully the next time I blog I will be telling you about a new teammate.

My super bowl pick was close. Now for my next prediction is on this Carmelo Anthony (203-F-84, college: Syracuse) trade. I'm a Knicks fan so I hope to see him wearing the orange and blue but I feel like that would be to good to be true this year. Then the rumors started this week about him joining the Lakers. That's a tough one. I think if LA beats Orlando then The front office will feel comfortable with their team since that would be three wins in a row over Boston, New York and Orlando. Making them satisfied in their team for another title push. So I'm predicting the Lakers to beat Orlando and then silence the Carmelo talks. That then focuses all the attention on New York. I would be happy to see them on either of the two teams. Either trade would be good for the NBA. Let's see

Can we bring history to Ashkelon? Final Four? #playoffs- May.13, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Whats up everybody? I am finally feeling motivated to write a new blog. Although the season is nearing its end, the current moment is what it's all about. When the season starts, you go to practice after practice, run sprint after sprint, play game after game just to arrive to the playoffs with the hopes of accomplishing a chip [read more]
Playoff Hunt- Mar.23, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

The season is coming to an end soon and my team and I find ourselves fighting for a playoff spot. After we started the season 0-6, it was hard for me early on to see us in this position, during this part of the season. We have worked very hard and at the same time, had deal with a lot of injuries as a team! More than just a couple of guys have been injured, from season ending to something as simple and common as a cold [read more]
Being The Best You Can Be...- Mar.7, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Everyday when I wake up I thank God for allowing me to see another day and to live in his beautiful world, then I think to myself how can I be the best man I can be today? I dont always make the right choices and actually a lot of times I make the wrong ones but thats where you have to ask for forgiveness and for God to show you the right way. I dont see how people can go through there lives each and everyday having an attitude or not being grateful for the blessings of life [read more]
