As 2010 slowly came to an end, 2011 is finally here. Meaning that most teams in Europe most likely had a week or two break to finally just rejuvanate themselves. That might mean getting new players to help out their teams, or even if its getting rid of a few players, whatever that might be it is crunch time. As most of the 1st half of the season is done or about to come to an end in a few weeks, this is the time where teams including ourselves are trying to revaluate where we stand.
Being currently in 7th place and in the playoff picture, we look to get a better seed as we draw closer to the playoff hunt. This of course is not easy, but is for sure in arms length to grab. We have been shuffling around looking for that missing piece of the puzzle to give our team that extra life. We are coming together as a team and are getting better as a team everyday, roles are being handed out and now we see what we need to do as a team to become successful. Our first part of the schedule was somewhat difficult but we let a few games get away from us that we could have won. Me and my fellow American teammate Durrell Nevels didnt go home for Winter/Christmas break instead we took the time to know the island better as well as get some well needed excercise and workouts in. This I feel will help us obtain success in the near future.
Having a successful 1st part of the season team wise and individually I feel that it is crucial to take it to the next level and start 2011 off with wins. We have a little of an advantage coming up because all of our games are at home in January, so that should help. We also have a Cup game against Academica to as well. So we should look to win most if not all of our games in January.
Our next game is this upcoming week January 8th and 9th, stay tune until next time as I take you through my life in Portugal. Always remember **Success is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated***. Xau.

Heart+Determination+Focus= 2 Wins- Jan.17, 2012  (by Nate)

As we enter the 2012 year, round 2 without any true center we had no where to look or turn but ourselves. Everybody knows that having a true center is a must when you want to go far and win games. But as we wait on our team to get him we put together 2 nice wins. We buckled down as a unit and just got the job done. These 2 wins was by far the best because our whole team mentality was different, and if you was there you could tell [read more]
Tough L's But Its A Long Season- Dec.7, 2011  (by Nate)

We as a team have been going through a bit of a rough patch some might call it. But the beauty of that is that we have enough ample time to build from our mistakes. We droped a few close games that we needed on the road and at home. But thats in the past, so we must prepare and close out the first half of the season with a bit of a bright note. As we enter this week we get ready to enter another cup game against I beileve Alges [read more]

1. First off thanks for doing the interview Nate.... let me start off by asking about your childhood... tell me what was it like growing up in Kansas City and what could we find you doing as a youngster back in the day? You welcome man no problem, I enjoy and appreciate this interview; with all this ample time on my hands I dont mind doing a few interviews a week. Well back in the day I was all about basketball and nothing else. Basketball was installed in me since I was little kid [read more]
