Joshua Jones
Hello world this is Joshua Jones (196-G-83, college: Dillard) again posting from Allepo, Syria. Last week was a long week and due to the snow in Syria one of the games for last week was postponed. In return we had a full week of practice which proved to be very beneficial to our team, Al Yarmouk. It gave us time to bond together as a team and work on our chemistry and as a result we won our game last night. One thing I must admit is that the weather here is Syria is quite colder than most of your middle eastern countries. Throughout my entire career I have played in the middle east and I have never experienced cold weather like this, but I must admit it feels good to change it up a little bit. Also, Allepo has a lot of Christmas decorations on the streets and in restaurants so it almost makes me feel as if I'm back at home. This upcoming week is a very big week for our team so we will practice tomorrow and start developing a strategy plan for our opponents. To all the ball players around the world have a good Christmas and keep working hard, the sacrifice of being away from your loved ones will pay off.

This summer has been a great summer and I feel like a lot has been accomplished on my end. Two a day workouts, multiple diets, thousands of jumpshots, ball handling drills, defense drills and the list goes on and on. With the NBA having a lockout the summer runs down in Houston has been pretty competitive [read more]
