well its about that time again.... the summer vacation is over and it is that time again where most players are looking forward to... THE PRESEASON. you know the time when you actually do the stuff that you should have been doing over the summer like running and staying in shape. But yea it seems to sneak up and before you know your summer vacation is over and you are in Europe again. I have actually been over since the beginning of August to try and get a early start with my new team and this season I have a different role than last season. Last season in Crailsheim I played a major role on both sides of the ball, but this season I certainly have a different role but in reality this is the level I always felt I should be at.My role this season is to play hard defense, and bring energy to the game when i come in. I am happy that Trier gave me an opportunity and so far everything has been great. We certainly have a young team and a lot to learn but this will come with time and patience. Our preseason workouts have consisted of two of days for the most part which consist of individual workouts in the morning and a team practice at night. The individual workouts have been great and I have learned some much about footwork that went missing the last couple of years. Our coaching staff makes a point to teach the fundamentals of the game and it has been repetitive but it is what will help us througout the season. We are currently in Serbia as I speak and will have our first two games over the weekend and then play 2 more games next week as well. so in the next 8 days it will be important to take care of my body in this time since i'm getting up there in age. We have been in Serbia since monday and honestly it is a beautiful country and I have found out they are serious about there basketball over here. We got to do a little sightseeing as well and the team is coming together off the court as well...I really have enjoyed the time here and enjoyed the stay in Belgrade. I really like the city a lot. it is a long season and even if we are only two weeks in these things are very important in the long run. We get back to Germany on monday and next week I'll let you know how we did with a delayed report... lol. shout out to all my new teammates in Trier and to my man Sean the beast down in Crailsheim.. get healthy soon my dude. Ill get up with you guys more often and soon!!!! ONE...blogged maintained by John Bynum (191-G-78, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement, college: Metro St.)

Heading back to the states...awaiting the next chapter- Apr.9, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So the season has finally come to an end. Although we had a strong second half of the year we were unable to do all that we wanted to do. I think I had a solid first year individually but always think I could have done better. I am already looking forward to see where we will be next season. I definitely had a blast in my first season overseas. I made a lot of friends, saw a lot of places, improved different aspects of my game and opened myself up to new experiences [read more]

I'm 34 and your point is.....- Apr.5, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

So a close friend of mine the other day asked me what do you do want to do when you finish playing basketball? I thought for a second, and I really didnt have a clear answer or anything I could really say back to him. It is sort of funny cause my whole life I have been playing this game that I grew up to love and to be honest it is almost that time where I need to make that decision [read more]
Trying to finish strong- Feb.20, 2012  (by Eurobasket Center)

Whats up everyone. Its been awhile since my last post so I wanted to fill everyone in. Recently we have been playing much better and have a legit shot to stay in Pro A despite the fact that a lot of people had no doubt at all we would move down to pro A due to lack of experienced players. This is understandable considering starting the season we were the only team in the league without 1 player who had pro A experience [read more]
